Eldon House Care Services

Eldon House is a residential home providing personal care for up to 34 older people, including those living with dementia and those with physical and sensory disabilities. At inspection, 31 people were using the service.

The home provided safe care to residents. Staff were trained to recognise abuse and would report concerns appropriately. Both people and their relatives felt the care was safe. Individual risks were identified, assessed and reviewed, with plans in place to minimise them. Medicines were managed safely and people received the support needed to take them as prescribed. Staff understood how to minimise infection risks, with measures in place to prevent cross-infection.
