Edgecumbe Lodge Care Home

Edgecumbe Lodge Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 21 older people, some living with dementia. It supports 19 people currently. The CQC rates the service as requires improvement overall, unchanged from its last assessment.

Inspectors found staff were kind, attentive and knew people well, with enough staff on duty and medicines managed safely. However, risks to people were not always properly assessed, incidents were not always reported to the CQC as required, and governance systems remained ineffective at monitoring training, risk and incident management. The provider was found to be in breach of regulations and has been asked to submit an action plan.
