Eden Holme Care

This purpose-built care home provides personal and nursing care for up to 50 people, including older people and younger adults living with dementia, mental health, physical, and sensory needs. At inspection, 43 residents were using the service across two floors. The home has recently undergone significant changes, with resident numbers increasing from 14 to 43 since the previous inspection, and the provider implementing an action plan to develop a stable management team.

However, inspectors identified several concerns. Risk assessments and care plans were not always fully completed or kept up to date, leaving staff without essential information to keep people safe. Safe recruitment procedures were not consistently followed, raising risks around unsuitable staff being employed. Medicine administration processes required improvement, with the manager committing to more frequent medicine audits. People and their relatives reported varying experiences when communicating with the provider.
