Eastwood House is a residential care home providing personal care to 19 older adults, including people living with dementia. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found staff kind and caring, with people saying they felt safe and well looked after.

However, breaches continued around safe care and treatment, particularly medicine storage, and around good governance, with management systems not always ensuring identified concerns were acted upon.

Improvements had been made to safeguarding, infection control and risk management, but these were not yet fully embedded. The registered manager was not always aware of regulatory reporting requirements. The provider responded to inspectors' feedback and addressed the most serious concerns to protect people from harm.
