Dunley Hall and Ryans Court

Dunley Hall and Ryans Court provides personal care to up to 35 people aged 18 and over, including those living with dementia, physical disability and sensory impairment. At inspection, 29 people were using the service. People told inspectors they felt safe and were supported by a consistent and caring staff team, while relatives spoke positively about the home and expressed satisfaction with the care provided. Risk assessments were in place and staff understood how to keep people safe. Medicines were administered as prescribed and reviewed regularly, with accidents and incidents recorded and analysed to identify learning points.

The service supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff enabling this in the least restrictive way possible. Relatives could access care records, view photographs of activities and communicate through the Relatives Gateway. Systems to monitor quality and safety were effective, though some improvements were identified regarding the environment and staff training.
