Drake Court Residential Home

Drake Court is a residential care home providing personal care and accommodation for up to 29 people, some of whom live with dementia. The service operates from one adapted building and was supporting 29 residents at the time of inspection.

While some improvements had been made, risks to people were still not consistently well managed, leaving them at potential risk of harm. Staff met people's core needs, but support was task-focused and staff did not appear to have quality time with residents. Mixed feedback was received about staffing levels in place. Improvements were being made to the management of people's medicines, and systems were in place to protect people from risk of abuse.
