Dovetail House

Dovetail House is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 20 people aged 65 and younger with physical and mental health needs. At inspection, 14 people were living in the adapted three-storey building. People felt safe and staff supported them with risk management that maintained their independence while keeping them secure. Medicines were managed safely and the home was kept clean to prevent infection.

Staff provided care that respected people's choices and encouraged independence, with care plans personalised to individual needs. People were supported to access healthcare and their eating and drinking requirements were met. Staff were friendly and respectful, listened to people's preferences, and supported residents to engage in meaningful activities. Care was delivered by appropriately trained staff who worked in people's best interests.
