Dial House Nursing and Residential Care Home supports older people and younger adults living with dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments. The home accommodated 35 people at the time of inspection. The registered manager had implemented clear visiting procedures aligned with government guidelines, including health declarations, temperature checks, and rapid COVID-19 tests for visitors. Garden, window, and screened visits continued alongside supported telephone and video calls to maintain residents' contact with loved ones. A dedicated COVID-19 coordinator role ensured focused oversight of testing, staff training, and health promotion. Staff had adequate supplies of personal protective equipment, which was appropriately monitored and worn. The registered manager encouraged additional staff breaks to address PPE-related fatigue. The home was clean, fresh, and well ventilated.
