Beacon House

Beacon House provides residential and nursing care for up to 40 older people with physical disabilities and those living with dementia. The service was caring for 34 people at the time of inspection. Accommodation is spread across the ground and two upper floors with lounges, a dining room, and an accessible garden.

Inspectors identified shortfalls in risk assessment. People assessed as having swallowing difficulties who were on modified diets to eat and drink safely did not have documented choking risk assessments in place.
