Delamere House

The Annex provides residential care for up to two young people aged 16 to 24, with two residents at the time of inspection. People live in a safe environment and receive their medication safely. The service supports residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches possible and personalising support to individual wishes. Safe recruitment processes are followed and staff receive ongoing training and development.

Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible both at home and in the community. The service supports people to undertake voluntary work, employment and vocational courses in line with their preferences, and to explore new social, leisure and recreational interests. Some areas for further development were identified around homely remedies and emergency evacuation plans.
