De Brook provides personal care and support for up to 52 older people, some living with dementia, across three floors with communal rooms and individual bedrooms. At inspection, 37 residents were living at the home. The management team acknowledged that improvements were needed to ensure people received safe and effective care, and a range of audits had been completed to address shortfalls. Safe recruitment procedures were in place, and staffing levels had been increased to ensure sufficient numbers were always available. Further recruitment was underway with shift patterns reviewed to provide more flexibility at core times. Systems were in place to help manage residents' prescribed medicines.
