Dalling House

Dalling House provides residential care and personal care for up to 20 older people, including those with early-stage dementia and some receiving respite care. At inspection, 18 residents were using the service.

The home had significant gaps in care documentation. Not all residents had up-to-date, accessible care plans, as the service was transferring records from paper to a computerised system. Risk assessments were incomplete, with risks such as falls, diabetes and medicine management not fully assessed or mitigated. The home lacked up-to-date protocols for medicines that residents take as needed, and had no system in place for capturing and learning from accidents and incidents.
