Dalling House

Dalling House is a care home providing personal care and support to older people. Following concerns about infection control and governance, the CQC assessed the service and rated it Requires Improvement overall, with two breaches found relating to premises and equipment, and to governance. Inspectors found the lift frequently out of order, some surfaces sticky to touch, and worn equipment difficult to clean.

Despite this, staff were found to be kind and respectful, with good knowledge of safeguarding, and people said they felt safe. Care plans were not always reviewed regularly, and quality assurance processes lacked consistency, though no direct harm to people was identified.
