About Dairy Lane Care Centre

Dairy Lane Care Centre is a residential care home in Sunderland, providing personal care for older people. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

Dairy Lane Care Centre provides personal care to up to 22 older people, including those living with dementia or dementia-related conditions. At inspection, 21 people were using the service in one adapted building.

The home had sufficient staff appropriately deployed to support people safely. However, a quality assurance system was in place but needed to become more robust to properly assess care standards. Improvements were needed to ensure all people received person-centred care, and some systems required enhancement to better promote people's privacy.
