Cumberland Grange Care Home

Cumberland Grange Care Home provides personal care for up to 66 people aged 65 and over. At the time of inspection, 23 people were living there. The management team had successfully recruited new staff despite national shortages, with newly recruited staff praising the supportive environment and strong teamwork. One staff member commented, "Cumberland is a family and I know each and every one of the staff really do care. They really care for the residents living here and it's so lovely to feel that when walking into this home."

People receive their medicines as prescribed, with improved staff competency following additional training from the interim manager. Staff relationships with residents are caring and attentive, responding promptly to requests. Residents expressed satisfaction with the service, saying "Yes, it's a splendid new home" and "I'm well looked after, I'm safe, they are good to me." Visitors reported being reassured about how their relatives had settled and would recommend the service. Recruitment checks ensure staff suitability, and people receive effective care from well-trained and competent staff.
