Cravenside Home for Older People

This care home accommodates 46 older people across two floors divided into four named areas, with 34 residents living there at inspection. Some residents are living with dementia. Residents reported feeling comfortable and safe within the home. The registered manager and staff demonstrated a clear understanding of their responsibilities regarding safeguarding, with systems in place to learn from incidents and respond openly when issues occurred. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' needs and maintain their safety, and the home operated appropriate recruitment procedures that were further strengthened following the inspection to ensure all relevant information was obtained before staff began working.
