Coppelia House

Coppelia House is a residential care home providing care and accommodation to 22 people in a market town on the edge of Dartmoor. The home can accommodate up to 30 people in one adapted building. A new manager took up post in December 2020. Infection prevention and control measures are in line with current UK government guidance, with staff using personal protective equipment correctly and appropriately. Staff have received in-house and online training, including a specialised Covid-19 course covering the donning and doffing of PPE. One staff member noted there have been sufficient stocks of PPE available. A visiting professional observed that staff were wearing PPE properly and that temperature checks were being undertaken on arrival. Cleaning schedules are in place, with the manager reviewing ways to improve them further.
