Compton Manor in Coventry provides accommodation and personal care for older adults, younger adults, people with physical disabilities and people with sensory impairments. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, with Well-led rated Inadequate. Inspectors found leaders did not always identify risks or embed learning, care plans and records were incomplete, and staff did not always act promptly on changes to people's health needs.

Two breaches were found, relating to safe care and treatment and to governance.

People and relatives spoke positively about staff kindness and support, and inspectors observed respectful interactions. However, some people wanted more chances to go out, and some relatives felt uneasy raising concerns. The provider has been asked for an action plan to address the shortfalls found.
