Church Farm Care Home

Church Farm Care Home provides residential care for up to 60 people aged 65 and over, many living with dementia. At inspection, 45 residents were living at the service. Staff demonstrated strong infection prevention practices, including maintaining a robust cleaning schedule, positioning PPE stations throughout the home, and tagging equipment as clean between uses. The home's layout was adjusted to provide space between people in communal areas, and a dedicated room with external access was available for visits, allowing visitors to meet residents without walking through the facility. Visitors underwent lateral flow tests and temperature checks before visits. Staff were knowledgeable about infection control responsibilities and spent time with residents in meaningful activities. Residents reported feeling well supported during the recent Covid-19 outbreak, and the service's layout enabled effective isolation when needed to prevent infection spread.
