Cherry Tree Lodge Nursing Home

Cherry Tree Lodge Nursing Home provides nursing care and support for people with a learning disability and autistic people. The CQC rated the service as requiring improvement overall and found three breaches of regulation covering person-centred care, safe care and treatment, and governance. Staffing levels did not always meet people's needs, safeguarding was inconsistent, medicines management needed improvement, and audits failed to catch problems, so improvements were slow.

Inspectors also found care plans lacked person-centred detail, people had very few activities or trips out, and feedback from those unable to easily share views was not sought. On a more positive note, people said they felt safe, staff were kind and respectful, infection control was mostly effective, and recruitment was robust.
