Cherry Tree Care Home

Cherry Tree Care Home provides care and accommodation for older people, including those living with dementia. An unannounced inspection followed concerns about people being woken early for personal care and about the management team, but the CQC found no evidence to support these allegations. Staff spoke positively about the management team, and the provider was no longer in breach of previous regulations concerning medicines management and quality assurance, though some further improvement in medicines handling was still needed.

Inspectors found sufficient trained staff, safe recruitment practices, and good risk management. People and families described staff as kind, caring and compassionate, felt safe, and knew how to raise concerns confidently. The service was rated Good overall, with Safe rated Requires Improvement.
