Cherry Blossom Care Home

Cherry Blossom Care Home provides personal and nursing care to 70 older people across three floors, with capacity for up to 80 residents. Each floor has separate adapted facilities. The building was clean and free from clutter, with staff regularly cleaning high-touch points throughout the service. All staff worked in full personal protective equipment to protect both themselves and residents from infection spread.

The service had implemented strict infection control measures during the inspection period. Any visitors underwent temperature checks, hand washing, health questionnaires, and wore full PPE. Staff changed into uniforms and applied PPE before starting work. Posters throughout the building prompted people and staff to maintain social distancing. Visiting was restricted to exceptional circumstances such as end-of-life care.
