Charnwood

Charnwood provides personal and nursing care to 16 older people, some living with dementia, across two floors of an adapted building. The service can accommodate up to 19 residents.

Risk assessments and care plans sometimes lacked sufficient detail about how people should be supported, though staff could explain how they kept people safe. Both residents and relatives reported feeling safe at the home. People were safeguarded from abuse, with staff demonstrating understanding of how to recognise and report concerns.

However, staffing levels were inconsistent, and the inspection made recommendations about addressing this to ensure adequate support for residents.
