Cavendish Care Home

This specialist dementia care home accommodates up to 24 people in one adapted building with a conservatory extension and enclosed gardens. At inspection, 22 residents were using the service. Staff assessed and managed risks effectively, including those related to coronavirus, and protected people from abuse. The home had sufficient staffed numbers and experience to meet residents' needs.

Care was delivered in a personalised way, with staff recognising and respecting individual choices, preferences and protected characteristics. Medicines were managed safely and staff received training and support to deliver care in line with best practice guidance and the law. People were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff supporting them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.
