Canterbury Adult Support Unit

Canterbury Adult Support Unit provides overnight respite care for people with learning disabilities and autism who typically live with family members or carers. The service offers carers a break while creating opportunities for people to develop independence in a supportive environment. It can support up to five people and also provides day services, which people using the respite services can access if they choose.

The service has been developed according to best practice guidance to enable people to live as full a life as possible and achieve the best outcomes. Staff work to support people's independence while providing the care and support they need during their stays.
