About Camellia House

Camellia House is a residential care home in Nottinghamshire, offering personal care and accommodation for older people, including those living with dementia. Further details on the CQC's findings are set out below.

Camellia House is a small care home in Nottinghamshire providing personal care and accommodation for up to four older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding a breach relating to good governance. Systems had not always identified problems, and mental capacity assessments and deprivation of liberty paperwork had not always been completed correctly, though the provider took action once this was raised.

Inspectors found people were treated kindly and as individuals, with staff respecting privacy, dignity and independence. Medicines and infection control were managed safely, staffing levels were adequate, and people and relatives praised the home-cooked food and effective engagement with health professionals.
