Burnham

Burnham is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to five people with physical disabilities, some with complex health needs. The CQC found people and relatives were positive about care, describing staff as friendly, respectful and attentive to people's privacy and dignity. Some relatives felt more activities and community engagement would benefit residents.

Inspectors identified breaches relating to risk management, staffing levels and governance. Risk assessments lacked sufficient detail, staff training was incomplete in places, and quality monitoring had not picked up issues found during the assessment. The management team had begun addressing these concerns, and staff reported improving culture under new leadership.
