Bryn Haven

Bryn Haven is a residential care home in one building over two floors, providing personal care and dementia care to up to 42 people. Following concerns raised with the CQC, inspectors carried out an unannounced assessment and identified breaches of regulation around medicines management, individual risk management and staffing levels. Some people did not always appear well cared for or receive timely support, and bathing opportunities were sometimes limited.

Feedback from residents was mostly positive, with people saying they felt safe and were able to make choices about their care. Staff were mostly kind, well recruited and trained, and safety concerns were reported and investigated. Management checks had not always caught the issues found, but the registered manager responded quickly with an action plan once concerns were raised.
