Brookview Nursing Home

Brookview Nursing Home in Derbyshire is a residential and nursing home providing care for up to 60 older people and younger adults, including some living with dementia, physical disabilities or nursing needs. At the time of the inspection, 29 people were being supported. The home is now rated Good overall, having improved from Requires Improvement, with a previous warning notice over hygiene, staff training and risk management now fully addressed.

The CQC found that risks were well managed, medicines handled safely, and the premises clean and well-maintained. Leaders showed a strong learning culture, staff were skilled and well-supported, and most people and relatives praised the kind, attentive care. One family's complaint remained under investigation, and links with external healthcare teams were not always effective, though the manager was working to improve this.
