Brookfield House Care Home provides residential personal care to 41 people, with capacity for up to 51. Residents and their relatives spoke positively about the care and support provided, feeling safe with appropriate safeguarding systems in place. Staff minimised risks while supporting people to maintain choice and control over their lives.

The home had sufficient staffing with a permanent team who were safely recruited. During inspection, inspectors noted that call bells were occasionally out of reach, which the registered manager promptly addressed.

The environment was well-maintained and clean with effective infection prevention measures in place. Equipment and the physical environment were regularly checked to minimise risks. Medicines were safely managed and staff received appropriate training and supervision.

The provider was arranging refurbishment works including a new shower room, scheduled to begin within weeks of the inspection.
