Brook House

Brook House provides personal care to up to 36 people in one adapted building, with 19 residents at the time of inspection. Some people were living with dementia. While the provider had refurbished the service to a very high standard, safety and risk management needed attention, particularly regarding fire and infection control procedures.

The registered manager was creating a positive and inclusive culture with a supportive approach and strong relationships with the staff team. However, improvement was needed to establish a regular one-to-one supervision programme for staff to strengthen their support. The registered manager had formed good working relationships with external professionals and partners.
