Brook House

Brook House is a residential care home providing personal care to older people, some of whom are living with dementia. The CQC found the service required improvement overall, following an assessment that identified three breaches of legal regulations, relating to safe care and treatment, dignity and respect, and governance. Inspectors found risks to people's health and safety were not managed effectively, and care did not always protect people's dignity.

Despite these concerns, people and relatives spoke positively about staff, describing them as kind, caring and approachable, though some said staff were not always easy to find and care could be delayed. The CQC has told the provider it must improve.
