About Brightwater

Brightwater is a residential care home in Hampshire, providing support for people with a learning disability and autistic people. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Brightwater provides support for people with a learning disability and autistic people. The CQC assessed the service after concerns were raised, and although some issues were found, inspectors did not find evidence that people's care had been negatively affected overall.

Staff were found to be kind, patient and respectful, promoting independence and involving people and families in planning care. Safeguarding practices and staffing levels were appropriate. However, environmental risks were not always managed promptly, and oversight systems needed improvement, meaning leadership was rated as requiring improvement while other areas were rated good.
