Brendoncare Froxfield

Brendoncare Froxfield provides personal and nursing care for people aged 65 and over across three separate wings, with one wing specialising in dementia care. At the time of inspection, the service was caring for 38 people out of a capacity of 44.

People felt safe at the service, with robust safeguarding systems in place and staff trained to raise concerns internally or externally. Staff were recruited safely with appropriate pre-employment checks completed. Medicines were received, stored and administered safely, and people reported satisfaction with how the service assisted them with their medication. The service recorded and analysed incidents to reduce future risks.

Some feedback indicated that people experienced lengthy waits when using their call bells for assistance. The service regularly monitored call bell response times using reports generated from their call bell system.
