Blair Park Residential Care Home

Blair Park Residential Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 47 people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 36 people lived at the home. The CQC found the service overall to be Good, with sufficient trained staff, safe recruitment, and people well supported with medicines, food and independence.

However, inspectors observed some poor practices around dignity, including staff applying medicinal cream during a meal and speaking to people in a juvenile manner. These issues had not been picked up by the home's own governance. People and relatives were otherwise complimentary about the care provided.
