Birkdale Village Care Home brings a sense of warmth and familiarity to residential care in Sefton, offering families a reassuring place to turn when their loved ones need extra support. The team here understands that choosing a care home is one of the most important decisions a family can make, and they are committed to making that transition as gentle and comfortable as possible. With a homely atmosphere and a genuine dedication to the wellbeing of each resident, Birkdale Village aims to feel less like a facility and more like a place to truly call home.

The home provides personal care for 14 residents aged 60 and over across 20 available rooms in a three-storey building with lift access. Residents can enjoy a garden and conservatory. Inspectors found the home to be visibly clean and hygienic with regular cleaning schedules in place.

The home maintained an up to date infection prevention and control policy and had good supplies of PPE available throughout, with staff consistently following guidance on its use. The manager conducted spot checks to ensure staff adhered to hand hygiene and PPE protocols, and arranged regular COVID-19 testing for residents and staff. Visits from friends and relatives were facilitated safely.
