Berry Hill Care Home

Berry Hill Care Home is a purpose-built home accommodating up to 66 older people, currently supporting 35 residents. The service provides residential and nursing care, including specialist care for people living with dementia. The home features four sitting rooms, four dining rooms, and outdoor garden and courtyard spaces.

During inspection, inspectors observed good social distancing practices in communal areas with seating appropriately spaced. Residents were closely monitored for COVID-19 symptoms with prompt testing and isolation of suspected cases. The home used a provider application enabling the manager to view staff training compliance and vaccination and testing status for both staff and residents at a glance. Vulnerable or at-risk staff received individual risk assessments and were offered amended duties to reduce their clinical contact with residents where appropriate.
