Bernhard Baron Care Home

Bernhard Baron Cottage Homes accommodates up to 60 older people across 24 self-contained cottages and a main building with 36 bedrooms. At inspection, 55 residents were living there, each with varying needs associated with older age. The home is a registered charity managed by a board of appointed trustees.

Residents received exceptionally personalised care tailored to their specific needs, preferences and wishes. The service was notably led by people living at the home, who organised and chaired forums that drove consistent improvements to daily life for themselves and other residents. Through these leadership structures, residents actively developed and promoted initiatives that enhanced their living experience.
