Belmont Grange Nursing and Residential Home

This residential care home provides personal and nursing care to up to 30 people, including adults and older people. At inspection, 29 people were using the service. The home maintains a positive culture where people achieve good outcomes. Residents and relatives consistently praised the service, describing it as homely with very caring staff. One resident said, "It's very good care here," and several relatives indicated they would recommend the home to others. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in ways that were least restrictive and in their best interests.

Safeguarding systems, policies and procedures helped protect people from avoidable harm, and staff were recruited safely. The home had policies supporting person-centred practice, though record-keeping was not always fully completed. The inspector recommended improved oversight of processes relating to deprivation of liberty authorisations.
