Beckfield House Residential Home

Beckfield House provides accommodation and personal care to older people, some living with dementia, in the village of Heighington. At inspection, 21 residents were living at the service.

Medicines were administered as prescribed, though the provider's medication policies and procedures were not always followed. Care plans did not consistently guide staff on managing risks related to people's healthcare needs, despite staff demonstrating good knowledge of these risks and the support required. Some areas of the service and equipment were worn and could not be appropriately cleaned. The inspector recommended improved monitoring of equipment and noted that quality assurance systems needed strengthening.
