About Becket House Nursing Home

Becket House Nursing Home is a nursing home in Milton Keynes, providing care for older people and people living with dementia. The findings below set out what the CQC observed during its most recent inspection.

Becket House Nursing Home provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 27 older people and people living with dementia. At the time of assessment, 21 people were living there. The CQC rated the home as requiring improvement overall, following breaches of legal requirements around safeguarding and governance.

Inspectors found that systems for identifying and following up safeguarding concerns were not always effective, and quality assurance processes failed to spot the issues found. The environment and medicines management were not always safe. However, staff were described as kind and skilled, and people and relatives said care was good, though some relatives felt staffing levels were not always sufficient.
