Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home

Beach Lawns provides personal and nursing care to 53 people aged 65 and over across three residential units and one nursing unit, with capacity for up to 82 people. One unit specializes in dementia support. Residents reported feeling well-cared for with positive relationships with staff. The home has safeguarding systems in place and staff have received training on recognizing and reporting abuse concerns. Staffing levels are sufficient and recruitment processes are safe.

The service carries out assessments to identify risks to residents and their care needs, taking action to reduce identified risks in both individual care and the environment. Residents have clear care plans guiding staff on their preferred care delivery. One area for improvement was the resumption of organized activities, which had been limited during the Covid-19 pandemic. A new activities coordinator has been recruited to restart this provision.
