Baytrees

Baytrees provides accommodation and personal care for up to 10 people with a learning disability and autistic people, with facilities spread across two floors in the main house and a separate building. At inspection, all 10 residents were living at the service, with nine in the main house and one in the separate building. Staff supported people to have maximum choice, independence and control over their own lives, involving residents and relatives in care planning. People made decisions about where they went, what they did, and how to follow their interests, with staff communicating in ways that met individual needs. A relative described how the home had warmly welcomed their family member, saying "the whole home has really welcomed them. It's like they've been there years, they love it there." Residents regularly went out into the community, accessed local health services, went on holiday and were supported to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
