Ball Tree Croft

Ball Tree Croft provides residential care for up to 20 people with learning disabilities and autism, with three adjoining houses each containing self-contained kitchens, lounges and dining areas. At inspection, 12 people were living there permanently, with respite care paused due to the pandemic. People felt safe and comfortable with staff, with one person telling inspectors they liked all the staff members. Relatives expressed no safety concerns about the service.

The home has effective safeguarding policies in place and staff understand the action to take if they suspect anyone is at risk of harm. Risk assessments are carried out to ensure people receive care safely and can participate in activities that interest them and promote independence. Medicines are managed safely, with staff demonstrating good knowledge of medication systems and procedures. Staff have received appropriate training and competency assessments to support their practice.
