Augustus Court

Augustus Court provides residential care for up to 58 adults, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 57 people were using the service. While staff were sufficient to meet people's needs and keep them safe, inspectors found that risks were not always properly identified, assessed or mitigated. Safe infection control practices were inconsistent, particularly regarding personal protective equipment and cleanliness standards. Care plans did not always reflect current needs. However, the provider responded promptly to concerns raised, bringing in additional senior staff to support the manager and arranging further training and guidance. People's privacy and dignity were respected, and residents were positive about the care and staff support they received. The service provided a variety of food and drinks to meet people's needs.
