Athol House - Care Home Physical Disabilities

Athol House provides accommodation and care for up to 21 people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. At inspection, 15 residents were living at the service. Staff delivered individualised care that maximised residents' choice, control and independence. The provider had appropriate risk management procedures in place and managed medicines safely, with accidents and incidents properly recorded and investigated. However, the layout of the large building did not optimally support residents' independence or fully meet the needs of people living with learning disabilities.
