Inspectors found people felt safe and well cared for, with warm interactions between staff and residents. Staffing levels were sufficient, and people and relatives were involved in decisions about their care. Overall the service was rated Good, though leadership required improvement.

Ashlodge provides accommodation and personal care for up to 16 older people with care needs associated with older age. This includes people with physical and health needs and people with a dementia and memory loss. Ashlodge is a detached property close to the seafront in Bexhill -on-Sea. At the time of this assessment there were 15 people living at the service. We carried out this assessment between 3 January to 25 January 2024. We looked at 5 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control and Equity in experiences and outcomes.
