Argyle Residential Home

Argyle Residential Home provides personal care to up to 28 people, including younger and older adults with and without dementia. The home is spread across multiple floors with bedrooms, communal spaces, and a dining area. At inspection, 27 people were using the service.

The home's governance systems required improvement to ensure effective oversight. Audits were not completed for some key risk areas, and quality assurance checks did not always identify necessary improvements to people's safety. Some aspects of the environment and equipment needed to be made safer. While main risks were identified and assessed, recordings of specific health needs lacked consistent detail in places. Medicines were generally managed safely, though room temperature checks and medicine profiles needed to be fully implemented. The service had sufficient suitably trained staff to meet people's needs.
