Ardent Residential Care Home

Ardent Residential Care Home provides personal care for up to 23 people, and had 15 people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC found the service requires improvement overall, with safety rated inadequate. Inspectors found an unsafe, dirty environment with unpleasant odours, poorly managed risks, and medicines not always given as prescribed.

Care records did not always reflect people's needs, and there was little evidence people or relatives were involved in planning care. Staff were not always supported to work in people's best interests, and stretched staff duties affected care time. Five breaches of regulations were identified, though people described staff as caring.
