Aquarius Care Home

Aquarius Care Home provides residential care for up to 20 older people, some living with dementia, and those with learning disabilities or autism. At inspection, 19 people were using the service. While nursing care was provided by community nurses rather than on-site, the home operated in a clean, well-equipped environment. However, inspectors found that staff did not consistently identify people's aspirations and goals or provide effective support to help them learn or maintain skills. There was no consistent approach across the service, and people's communication needs were not always met, with easy read signage lacking in places. Staff did demonstrate a focus on people's strengths and what they could do.
