Appletree Grange

Appletree Grange provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 32 older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC rated the home Good overall, with an Outstanding rating for how caring staff were. Inspectors found a warm, well-led service where staff knew people well, respected their privacy and dignity, and worked closely with families and professionals to provide personalised, flexible care.

Risks were well managed, staffing levels were sufficient, and medicines were handled safely. Care records were detailed and person-centred, and people enjoyed varied food and activities. The CQC did note some wear and tear in the environment, and suggested improvements to help orientate people living with dementia.
