Apple Tree House Residential Care Home Limited

Apple Tree House is a residential care home providing support to up to 12 autistic people and people with a learning disability, with 12 people living there at the time of assessment. Inspectors found that staffing was sometimes insufficient to support people accessing the local community, staff training was not fully up to date, and incidents were not always reviewed. Governance remained weak, with feedback from people and partners not analysed to drive improvement.

Despite this, the CQC found people were treated with kindness, cared for by staff who knew them well, and supported through person-centred care plans. Residents and relatives spoke positively, describing the home as friendly, safe and "marvellous". Overall, the service requires improvement, though caring, effective and responsive care were rated good.
